MY BACKGROUND
From 1995, I started working as a Foot Reflexology. When I was working there, I massage up to 15 people per day, each person, 30 mins. Every time we give a massage, we would explain to them the benefits of Foot Reflexology. From their reflex point (pressure points on the foot which are energetically connected to other areas in the body), give them a diagnosis of themselves.
From around 2005, the Government made a rule that Massage cannot consist as a treatment, but as therapy. Also that everyone that wants to be a masseur has to have a certificate, that is when I got my ITEC Certificate. Then, Singapore also needed more certified trainers. As for me, I have enough experience in this industry so I went ahead to get myself a certificate, which is the WDA NSRS in Supervising Assessor Course. This certificate allows me to teach, train and assess.
At the beginning of 2018, I discovered Bio - Electric and I started studying about it. Since then, I am able to combine the traditional massage techniques with Bio - Electric.
About Bio - Electric, it is safe and drug-free. It is effective to treat chronic pain, relaxing our muscles and opening up our body meridian. This will help improve our immunity. I enjoy doing Bio - Electric Therapy a lot because I love to see the relaxed looks on my customer's faces after I am done with my therapy. I have been working with Trapeze Rec. What is Bio - Electric Therapy?
Bioelectric therapy is a safe, drug-free treatment option for people in pain. It is used to treat some chronic pain and acute pain conditions.
How does it work?
Our human body is constantly using electric signals to communicate, move & think. Our cells are specialized to conduct electrical currents. Electricity is required for the nervous system to send signals throughout the body and to the brain, making it possible for us to move, think and feel. Technically speaking, a pacemaker is a type of bioelectrical device. It controls the electrical impulses in your heart when certain conditions occur. Our Bioelectric therapy is the combination of western bio-resonance and Chinese TCM Electro Acupuncture.
Western Bio-resonance relieves pain by blocking pain messages to the brain. When you are injured, pain receptors send a message to the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). The message is registered as pain by certain cells in the body. Using bioelectric currents, bioelectric therapy relieves pain by interrupting pain signals before they reach the brain. Bioelectric therapy also prompts the body to produce endorphins which help to relieve pain. With this treatment, it will be a temporary relief.
Chinese TCM Electro-Acupuncture requires a certified physician to do this. This is because it is a very precise process to do. Because during the process, they have to use a hair-thin needle to hit its Acupoint. When it hits the Acupoint, it is only a very small part of the process. After hitting the Acupoint the physician will have to use an electric current, connect it with the needles to carry electric pulses on straight points that needed healing. There are a lot of AcuPoint in our bodies. According to this website, Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. For example, Du Meridian (our spine) itself consist of 18 AcuPoint and the Bladder Channel has 67 Acupoint. They would have to hit a total of 85 Acupoint to open up the most important Meridian of our body. This is a really complicated and hard process for the physician as they would have to insert 85 needles at the exact AcuPoint.
What is Meridian ?
When we undergo surgery or Xray, we will be able to see all our blood vessels, nerves and artery. However, Meridian surrounds our whole body but is not seen. Let's take, for example, Our body as Singapore Map. On the globe, we will be able to see the Singapore River, Kallang River and all of the reservoirs. Let's take all the rivers and reservoirs as our blood vessels, nerves and artery. However, on the globe, we wouldn't be able to see the drains but, the drains do surround the entire of Singapore. The drains represent the meridian of our body. Drains is the primary vessel or conduit for unwanted water or waste liquids to be sewage away. The drains would surround the whole of Singapore so the pathway for the water will have to turn at a certain junction to reach the main river or the reservoir. This junction where the turn happens, is what we call, The AcuPoint in our body. Let's say this junction is blocked, the entire drain will be flooded. When our AcuPoint is blocked, that is when we will feel pain, numbness and soreness in our body. When we help do the therapy or massage, we will be able to feel the knots on the Meridian. Thus, we need to use Bio-Electric Therapy to cure the pain, numbness. This is because Bio-Electric Therapy will penetrate deeper into our Acupoints allowing our meridian to open.
The Principles of Foot Reflexology
Principle of Blood Circulation
The beating heart helps in blood circulation. The blood in the arteries is clean while the blood in the veins is unclean during general circulation. The speed of blood flow in the veins is also slower than that in the arteries. Even the clean blood in the veins contains much contaminants like uric acid crystals which can easily settle. These deposits would eventually accumulate over time and through the effects of the earth's gravity be retained in the feet, obstructing the blood circulation there. This would add on to the heart's burden and result in a lack of nutrition to the body's tissues and organs. In the long run, certain tissue or organ functions would deteriorate. Physical ailments may surface, bringing about different degrees of abnormal physical reactions. During a foot reflexology session, the temperature of the feet will rise after being massaged thoroughly, increasing the speed of the flow of blood (tests have confirmed the speed of blood flow to be 12 mm/sec in the feet before massage and after thorough massage , the speed of blood flow could increase to 24 mm/sec). At the same time, deposits in the feet would be broken up during the foot massage and enter the circulation system again with the higher speed blood flow. They would then be excreted through the urinary system and other excretory organs. Three to five days after a foot reflexology session, we would find our urine very turbid and strong smelling. We would feel relaxed and revitalized after that. Hence, foot reflexology can stimulate and improve blood circulation, thus reducing the stress on the heart and improving the metabolic rate.
Principle of Reflexology and the Endocrine System
The reflex is a reaction to external stimulation. When there are abnormal physical reactions within the body's tissues and organs, there would appear different degrees of changes in the corresponding reflexology zone in the feet. Examples include blisters, grains, snaking rings, tubers, etc. A pressing pain would be felt when the corresponding reflexology points are massaged or stimulated. These pains would in turn be transmitted through the nerves to the central nervous system, whereupon fresh impulses would be transmitted to the body's tissues and organs. After being regulated by the nervous system fluids, the body's natural immunity is activated. It goes into action to reinstate the body's balance as well as block out any further pathological signal transmission. The cerebral cortex may have already formed a pathological stimulant stove. The pains and massages in the foot reflexology areas would also form its own stimulant stove, which would strengthen with prolonged massaging, eventually overcoming and eliminating the pathological stimulant stove. At the same time, the body would produce large amounts of special "substances" like infrared radiation, electro- magnetic waves, and many "internal medicinal factors" which are the most beneficial and effective therapeutic elements for the body. Hence, it is absolutely possible for foot reflexology to result in miracle cures.

两三年前在中国试过这类似的生物电理疗 感觉只是好奇 新鲜
但试了KH的电疗后 发现马上体验到了疗效 他结合了传统的经络按摩手法与生物电 让我感觉到了更渗透而舒服的按摩 类似电针灸 但 却比电针灸更全面的打通身体的经络和穴位 而且马上可以感觉受堵处的舒通 值得一试的理疗 建议大家试试。

Amazing combination of manual and electron massage
Bio Electric Therapy is very amazing. It has the essence of combining the best of manual and electric massage. It is able to penetrate the acupuncture points that most manual massage may not reach. It is a wonderful and "electrifying" experience that rejuvenates the body. I recommend this experience to my friends.

One of the most talented and effective therapists in SG
As much as I am very fond of massage and reflexology treatments, the reality is that even if it feels very therapeutic and promising during the session, the positive impact doesn't really last more than a hour or so after. The more effective ones I've tried (tuina with cupping and/or guasha) are so painful it feels torturous and miserable, so it's always been a trade-off.
Koon Hai is among the very few therapists I've encountered with a formidable practical knowledge of accupressure. I first met Koon Hai when he was running some complimentary trials and those mere 15 minutes with him were arguably twice as effective as other reflexology sessions I've tried. I've been going to him quite regularly ever since. His strokes are firm and precise, and he seems to be able to work out a lot
When he started to introduce bio-electric massage therapies, I was initially very skeptical. The first time I tried, the sensation from the electrical current was almost uncomfortable, akin to having a bad case of pins and needles. It also didn't feel 'shiok' the way a conventional massage does, so I was almost beginning to regret my decision to try it out. But I was very pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong, because that was the first time my neck and shoulders actually felt light (not merely relaxed).
Koon Hai's always enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge, and giving tips and suggestions. Between that and his cheerful personality, it really feels like he's genuinely invested in your recovery. There's also no hardsell at all - in fact he can be quite generous!
